Working in Canada

Are you a company looking for foreign talent, or an individual wishing to immigrate to Canada?

Immigration Élite is your trusted partner for international mobility immigration.

Several programs are available. For example, there are International Experience Canada, open work permits, closed work permits, work permits exempt from labour market impact assessment, or international agreements concluded by Canada.

Work permits related to a labour market impact study require a work acceptance certificate for Quebec, according to the categories of workers, global talent, and low and high wage earners.

We’ll help you determine which mobility procedure is best suited to your particular characteristics and situation.

Temporary or permanent worker visa

Would you like to come and work in Canada on a temporary or permanent basis, in a skilled or unskilled occupation?

Depending on your specific needs, you’ll need a closed work permit linked to a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMI) and a Quebec acceptance certificate from MIFI for the province of Quebec.

We can also help you apply for an International Experience Canada (IEC) working vacation or young professional permit. In addition, we can guide you through the procedures for obtaining an IMT-exempt work permit, under Canada’s active international mobility agreements.

Immigration Élite is also your trusted partner to guide you in obtaining a temporary worker visa in the Federal Skilled Worker category.

This category is based on a human capital approach and is designed to meet the needs of the Canadian market.

To qualify, you must:

  • Have at least one year of work experience in a NOC 0, A or B occupation within the last ten years.
  • Have the qualifications and skills required for the job.
  • Meet language requirements (English or French).

Immigration Élite offers you personalized support throughout the immigration process, including:

  • Preparation and submission of your visa application.
  • Support in finding a job in Canada.
  • Advice on integrating into Canadian life.

Provincial candidate program

Immigration Élite can help you determine which province offers the most opportunities for you. Most Canadian provinces and territories have an agreement with the Government of Canada that allows them to select immigrants wishing to settle there.

There are two steps to the application process:

First, you must apply to the province or territory where you wish to live. Your application will be evaluated according to two criteria:

  • The province’s or territory’s immigration needs
  • Your genuine intention to settle there

Criteria vary and may change without notice.

Secondly, once you have been nominated by a province or territory, you must submit an application for permanent residence to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). An IRCC officer will assess your application according to the rules established by Canada. During this process, you will be required to undergo a medical examination and obtain a police certificate. All immigrants must undergo these verifications, regardless of where they plan to live in Canada.

Most Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) include one or more employer-driven components. These prerogatives allow workers to be nominated on the basis of a permanent, full-time job offer, provided they meet provincial/territorial nomination requirements. (These requirements may include specifics regarding occupations, education, work experience, official language proficiency and age).

Applicants must demonstrate their ability to become economically established in the nominating province. IRCC is responsible for ensuring that applicants meet health, criminal and security requirements.

Immigration Élite can help you determine which program is best suited to your situation, and work with you to remove barriers.

Work permit for spouse

If your spouse accompanies you during your work experience in Canada, we can help him or her obtain an open work permit.

If you have questions about your studies, we can also help you with your research. For more information, don’t hesitate to contact Immigration Élite.
